Heart For The Arts Festival Performance Opportunity - December 8th!

Melissa ISD provides our 5th Grade students a fun holiday-spirited opportunity to perform at our annual Heart for the Arts Festival in December! This is a non-auditioned, all come, opportunity - we don’t want your student to miss out on!

Once registered, families will receive specific information regarding rehearsal time(s), what to wear, and performance information via email.
Tentatively, our rehearsals are scheduled for November 10th and December 1st.
The Heart for the Arts Performance will be on December 8th.
Please note, that barring any special circumstances, students will need to attend both rehearsals in order to perform on December 8th!

Auditioned District Choir Performance Opportunity - Spring of 2027

For the first year ever, Melissa ISD will be opening up an auditioned ensemble opportunity for our 5th Grade Musicians! This opportunity is a unique, musical, experience for all.
Students will be required to facilitate a short audition with one of our elementary music specialists.
Students who are accepted into the Melissa ISD 5th Grade District Choir will get to attend 5 rehearsals which will culminate into a special concert experience on March 4th with the directors of Melissa ISD Secondary Schools!
This will surely be a special opportunity for each individual and a huge honor for those who participate!

Once a student receives acceptance into the District Choir, families will receive information regarding scheduling, concert performance wear, and more via email.
Tentatively - our rehearsal and performance dates are scheduled below:
January 21st
January 28th
February 4th
February 18th
February 25th
March 4th - PERFORMANCE
